Leprechaun Lookers

Supplies: paint, string, glue, 2 empty toilet paper rolls

*Feel free to add your own decorations: pom poms, sparkles, beads, pipecleaners, sequins, googly eyes, etc.*

Step 1. Paint your rolls green or wrap in green construction paper and let dry before you glue them together side by side.

 Step 2. Decorate your binoculars!

Step 3. Stand the binoculars upright. Make one hole on the rim of the tube for the yarn/string strap (hole punch)

Step 4. Keep an eye out for a leprechaun, pot of gold, or rainbow!!!

Pot O’Gold!

Supplies: Green/Yellow/Black construction paper, white crayon, marker/crayon, glue

*Feel free to add your own decorations: pom poms, sparkles, beads, pipecleaners, sequins, googly eyes, etc.*

Step 1. Trace and cut out your “pot”.  Also, trace and cut out your “coins”.

Step 2. Decorate your Pot O’ Gold! (I added shamrocks because I wanted some green 😊)

Step 3. Ask your child to write down their favorite things on the coins!

Step 4. Fill the pot with their “gold”! Glue the coins to the top of the pot first and work your way up.

Leprechaun Look:

Supplies: Green/Yellow/Black construction paper, tape or glue

*Feel free to add your own decorations: pom poms, sparkles, beads, pipecleaners, sequins, googly eyes, etc.*

Step 1. Cut out your hat. The top of the hat should be shaped like a cup standing up and the brim is just a thick block. Also cut a square of yellow construction paper for the hat buckle. Fold in half and cut a long ways rectangle out. Open the paper to find your buckle! Glue your buckle to your hat.

Step 2. Cut strips of green construction paper to make the wrap. Measure around your child’s head and glue/tape together.

Step 3. Cut out your beard! Take a piece of orange construction paper, fold it in half long ways, and on the outside rim (the open side), cut a scalloped edge (half moons). Start about ½ inch in from the edge and create your scalloped border all the way down. About ¾ of the way down, start turning the border towards the folded side of the sheet so on one end, it is flat and the other end is tapered to one side.

Step 4. Unfold the paper which should now resemble an orange cloud with a flat top. Cut out a U shape from the inside to create a space for your face! (I recommend about 1-2 in. in from the scalloped edge)

Step 5. Attach the beard to your hat but gluing the 2 flat tops of the beard to the bottom of the back of your hat. Then attach your wrap to the hat (towards the middle of the brim). Put it on carefully and take a few snapshots of your little leprechaun!
